Dear Blackhawk Nation, It has been my great honor and privilege to serve as your Superintendent and I am proud of the work we've done together over the last three years. Thank you to everyone for all you have done to keep us moving in a positive and upward direction. Thank you for the incredible impact you all have had on my life. I am grateful for your friendships, genuine hearts and professional determination to provide the very best education possible for the students of Sandoval CUSD 501. Due to the possibility of rain and storms this evening, the 8th grade graduation has been moved indoors. It will be held in the gymnasium starting at 7:00pm. Doors will open at 6:30pm, seating is first come first serve. Families will be asked to sit in the bleachers. Mask are recommended but not mandatory. Keeping our kids safe and practicing procedures in case of a fire. So, if you saw the FD ambulance at the school, it was only a drill! Shout out to Matt Horn and Gail Gambill and the Sandoval Fire Department for always being there for us. "It's a great day to be a Blackhawk!"

Prom Update: Sandoval Senior High is happy to announce that we will be having a “Promtivity” for our Juniors and Seniors. A survey was conducted and the students voted to go to Incredible Pizza. We will celebrate “Promtivity” on Thursday, May 6th. Students who plan to go on the trip will leave the school approximately at 12:30 PM. They will arrive at Incredible Pizza where they will have the venue to themselves for one hour. At 3 PM they will be given a private dining area for their smorgasbord of food. The students will still have time to enjoy more fun before boarding the bus at 4 PM to return to the school around 5:30 PM. Students will not need money as funds collected last year will cover the expenses. Coronation will be streamed shortly after returning to the school and goody bags distributed. The plan moving forward is to create a “Promtivity” committee. These students will work with Mrs. B to finalize all the details which will include designing of this year’s t-shirt, coordinating any decorating for the coronation of our 2021 Prom King and Queen, and collecting items for the goody bags just to mention a few.

* ****Spring Break***** Sandoval Schools will observe Spring/Easter Break Thursday, April 1st-Monday, April 5th. School resumes Tuesday, April 6th for full session Monday-Thursday with Friday remote. The Jr/Sr High School will be 8:10 am-2:55 pm and the Elementary School will be 8:15 am-2:45 pm.
