Sandoval Jr. High Baseball is playing @ Spring Garden School at 4:30pm today. The bus will leave at 3:00pm from the High School. This is a make-up game from the "heat week".

Blackhawk Families! The elementary and Jr/Sr. high school will have early dismissal tomorrow. The elementary will dismiss at 12:40 pm and the Jr./Sr. high school will dismiss at 12:50 pm for a half day inservice for teachers. Additionally, there will be no school as we will celebrate Labor Day on Monday September 4th. Students, faculty and staff will return to school on Tuesday September 5th and we will be on a 2:45 pm dismissal schedule for elementary; 2:55 pm dismissal schedule for the Jr./Sr. High school. Have a wonderful Labor Day weekend!

Welcome to our new 6th grade black hawks! There will be an orientation meeting for students and parents on August 9th, 2023 . It starts at 5:30 pm in the high school cafeteria and will last approximately an hour. Students and parents will have time to see their child classrooms and will be able to meet their teachers.

Sandoval Elementary School recognized the Students of the Month for May. The students were chosen because of their outstanding display of CITIZENSHIP, such as taking care of the community, showing respect and devotion to one's country, having a willingness to give their time and talents to help others, and following the laws and rules even when out of school. The assembly this month was sponsored by Leetronics.

The students were chosen because of their outstanding display of INTEGRITY, such as doing what is right even when no one is watching, maintaining a good reputation, being reliable at all times, and forgiving others and taking responsibility for choices. The sponsor this month is Lanie Marie Hester Memorial Fund (Jennifer Hodge).

Sandoval CUSD 501 was notified by local law enforcement that there have been threats made to regional 911 centers towards schools across the state of Illinois today. Thankfully, all threats have been unfounded. We have not received any threats towards our school district. Our students and staff are safe. We will continue to monitor the situation and work closely with local and area law enforcements.
